Despicable ABank

Things must change according to change. This is simple mantra for success in this fast growing economies like India. I was under the same impression that the people will change with time and so do the services. But Andhra Bank proved it wrong. For I had enough today and this is how I vent out my anger .

In today’s world, Internet has revolutionized the way we see the world around.It has opened new doors for making life comfortable and miserable as well .Take for instance, the online account through which almost all the services can transacted,without having to go out of your home. I use this service extensively for all my bill payments etc. But I still go out to deposit my dad’s checks usually on Saturday. And this is where this ABank comes into the picture.

For it has long history, We are attached to it for more than 40 yrs. But I believe, it never even understood on how to treat it’s customers right from it’s inception. Whenever I visit this bank, I hear customers arguing with staff, cursing the bank for it’s services. And today I join this bandwagon. For I had enough, for instance, for issuing a checkbook , you would be surprised if you get your checkbook within a month as Bank manager is always on leave. To get an entry into your ‘passbook’,you would usually have to wait for two hours as the concerned person would always be attending a meeting. And today, I had heated argument with a lady as “Rules” suddenly dawns her. This only made me realize how senseless the point she was trying to put forward. Anyway I’m tired of all this. All I wanted to say ‘Abank’ sucks, as it makes customers life miserable.

Long time ago, I tried to convince my dad to change his account to other bank where customers would be treated the way he has to be, but failed. I will have to convince him for I would never step it’s door steps again. And thank God, I hv a account with a bank that treats me well.

An appeal to Movie Industry...

Simha (The Lion). The name says it all. It's the latest movie of Telugu movie star 'Bala Krishna'. I'm very eagerly waiting for the reviews , not that I'm the biggest fan of 'Balayya'( I would punch anybody, even if they think of me as a fan) ,but with a hope that he would change.

Take for instance, watch the scene from one of his movie.

I mean, How the hell, can somebody do something like that ?. Balayya is capable of breaking every known and unknown laws of science with simple gestures. Snapstick comedy, Sarcasm, Exaggeration of hero next only to God( or may be more), Extremely undigestable fighting sequences & chasing scenes, Power Packed Dialogues which are never true, extreme violence are some of his movie traits. I'm not against anybody, but pointing to the common scenario in the Telugu movie industry now-a-days. The impact of commercialization has significantly brought down the quality of movies.

On the other hand, movies of old times still rules the hearts of many people like me. As somebody said " Old is Gold" fits here aptly. Film-makers must understand his audience can no longer digest movies which deviate from truth.

Using this as a platform , I would like to appeal to film makers to mend their ways for the good of movie industry.

Religion & Science

( Few thoughts on my journey of understanding Science & Religion )

We, the humans have a very special place in this vast universe.We have a very brief history on this Planet Earth about a few thousand years only. When man became conscious about the things around him i.e nature, he firmly believed that there must be a magical hand behind Nature. Thus he began his quest in understanding this magical hand which he named as God.

With this emerged the term 'Religion' with God as the Supreme Head of Universe and His set of guidelines for His faithful followers for Salvation, a place near & dear to God. Thus came into picture the following religions with remarkable events surrounding them like Hinduism, Christianity , Islam, Judaism, etc. with their own set of beliefs. Some follow the idea of monotheism and other polytheism etc. This led to the clashes between these ideologies for centuries which led to brutality among humans the world has ever seen before, all in the name of religion.

But on the other hand religion brought revolutionary changes in arts , music,education, technology , science etc . In the forefront was Christianity with Pope as its Head. St Augustine in 5th century was the first to give a relationship between Science & Religion. He laid out set of rules for Science & championed the discoveries of Science as long as they do not conflict with religious beliefs of that time.

The Popes believed that discoveries of Science will only reinforce their religious beliefs about God and encouraged it. But something went wrong. Instead of reinforcing their faith , it questioned its faith itself. With Copernicus starting this scientific revolution in 15th century. Later on carried by Galileo. Galileo was prosecuted by church for supporting the idea of Copernicus's Solar System with Sun at its centre as against to their belief that Earth was at the centre. In 1859, Charles Darwin's theory of Evolution challenged the idea of creation of humans by God. The 20th Century witnessed the emergence of scientific theories that would explain the Origin of Universe(OoU) like Big Bang Theory , String Theory etc as the front-runners. With the biggest ' Particle Accelerator' the world has ever seen , Science may finally give a clear picture about the Origin of Universe .

The remarkable feature of science is that it follows this line ' Theory- Experiment- Validation'. It always keeps six honest friends serving .They are Who, What, Why, How , Where , How & When, always questioning everything in its path to truth. On the other hand Religion whose basis is on faith, firmly sticks to its Holy Books with abundant resistance to change. The Power of Science lies in its ability to change based on evidence , if big bang cant explain the Origin of Universe , some other theory will.

Finally , in the times ahead, the biggest threat that the religion has to deal with is.. SCIENCE .

Mission Accomplished..........

In a way that would strike fear in the hearts of its enemies , India successfully test fired, three of its ballastic missiles with in a span of 24 hrs . This mega mission named 'Sanklap' was carried out by both the Armed forces and DRDO . The three missiles Pridhvi, Dhanush and Agni 1 met all the mission objectives making it as a text book flights.

I congratulate our DRDO team for successfully carrying out the mission and wish to see more of these in the future ...

Standing Tall

Recently I got a mail from my cousin. He just send me a couple of pics of our old home in our village, until then I almost forgot that we had a home in our village. Nobody stays there. Everybody moved out from our village mainly due to their occupation. As far as I can remember, the last time I have visited this home is about 15 years ago. Well,I guess, it is around this time, it has turned from home to house. But out of curiosity, I decided to dig-in the history behind our home.

Who else is the better person to start with ?? . Of course, my dad. As far as my dad can remember, this house is more than 120 years old. This house has helped in the prosperity of seven generations in our family. There is a Almond tree planted at the time of birth of my father, which is now as old as my father. I was quite amazed by these facts.

Suddenly I realized, this house alone stood as a silence witness to the birth, the death , the sorrow, the joy and prosperity of our entire family for more than a century. How amazing!!!. I guess it must be really hard for a human to take.

The second picture remained me as someone said, all good things must come to an end. Now this is the pathetic condition it is now into.

I wonder what it must be pondering if it was to be a living being .
'I have given shelter from sun, rain,cold and diseases for these humans for quite a long time. I have protected their hard -earned wealth, which helped them to prosper. It is on my laps these childrens have played and so on . I stood for these humans . Now at the time, I feel weak, nobody is around for me . Is this is what you humans are going to pay me back for what I have done for you? '

I have no answer to this question...

Are we humans to be blamed for or else these ' Living beings' for expecting too much from humans....

I guess nature works its own way to complete the cycle of life.

The best thing that has happened to me in the recent times is getting connected to the world around me through internet. I guess now-a-days it's a must in every household with a PC. As far as my opinion is considered, with no regrets, BSNL is the uncrowned leader in this field for me. Oh come on where would you get the following parameters like

Bandwidth - 1.75 to 2.00 Mbps
Download speed - around 200 Kbps
Price - Rs. 500
Downloading/Uploading free- 2.00 AM to 8.00AM
Limited Download/Upload - 2.5 GB

No way ..It's only BSNL. But if u do know any better service than this Plz do share with me .

I 'm basically a movie buff. I just keep downloading whatever I like. My downloads would be around 40-50 GB per month. Most of my friends ask me as to how I manage all this and that too during the night time i.e at 2.00 AM.

Do I have to get up at 2.00 AM to start downloading ???

No way . The answer is schedule it . I would like to share with you some very simple tips and tools through which u can schedule your downloading.

The tools are as follows

1. Dataone QUF i.e Dataone Quick Usage Finder . This tool prepared by sunish is excellent scheduler. You can use this tool to get connected to internet . You can find this at www.sunish.net.

2. Sharplus Bandwidth Meter. This excellent tool gives the real time usage details like

1. Session wise
2. Day wise
3. Month wise

You can keep an eye on your Download/Upload Limit during 'No-Free -Zone' using this tool. Just google it and u'll find it.

3. For downloading anything, I mean literally anything, I feel the best way to do it is to go for torrents. Just type the thing you want to download in google with tag torrent. I'm damn sure u gonna get it. Use a good torrent down loader like utorrent ( my favourite ) etc to schedule a torrent. A personal advice regarding torrents is that they may contain adult materials, so be careful in choosing your torrent.

4. Now that you are armed with all the things required to start downloading. All u got to do is to make your system hibernate and wake it up at 2.00 AM.

With all the above tools ,I guess now u can start downloading too.
