Top Five Movie Scenes of all time for me ;)

I was thinking for a very long time to share this , finally I got the time to share my most and all time favourite movie scenes from Hollywood. So here is the list and of no particular order.

1. The Godfather Opening Scene

Perhaps people who know me would have guessed it. Yes, indeed this scene is finest in terms everything you ask for.

2.The Dark Knight Rises Ending

The words spoken here of Charles Dicken are best I came across and wish I could feel the same way before I die . Here is the entire dialogue for you

"I see a beautiful city and a brilliant people rising from this abyss. I see the lives for which I lay down my life, peaceful, useful, prosperous and happy. I see that I hold a sanctuary in their hearts, and in the hearts of their descendants, generations hence. It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known.”

Hans Zimmer music along with ultimate sacrifice that batman does and the small twist in the end  gives me goosebumps whenever I watch this scene.

3.The Dark Knight Rises Prison Escape Scene

"Why do we fall ?
So that we learn to pick ourselves up"

What a message this scene conveys. No matter when the odds are very much against us and though we dont know the outcome of our effort, we must make always make one  final attempt with all we got and with a leap of faith. and success will surely hug us. This scene always inspires me a lot. As always Hans Zimmer does magic with his music.

Deshi Deshi Bashara Bashara Deshi Deshi Bashara Bashara ( He rises, He rises ) who has faith in himself.

4.Man of Steel :Oil Rig scene

This scene from Man of Steel conveys a very powerful message of selfless help towards others when you have the power to do it. I wish to be like this one day ;)

 5.The Dark Knight Ending  Scene

And finally to this scene from Dark knight in which Batman took upon the blame for the good of the people.

"Sometimes, truth isn't good enough, sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded." A very powerful message from a selfless man.

He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight.

So here is my top list of scenes which I feel, inspired me a lot.
Hope you guys like it and do share your comments if any and let me know your favourite scenes too.

Our Cat family ;)

I remember vaguely somewhere in the year 1996, I got associated with cats when I was still a kid and since then they have become part of our family. As far as I remember , its about fifth or sixth generation of cats continuing to live with our family. They are great source of joy for our family with their cuteness and innocence.

Here is a picture of three generations of cats coming together for a special Sunday meals;) which rarely happens . I have observed that normally the Mother cat  take cares of her kitten very well until they reach to certain age and then suddenly one day , mother cat discards its parent house permanently leaving space for her kitten to prosper and never comes backs to its parent house.

Just thought of sharing with you guys. Hope you guys like it .

The Param Veer Chakra

The Param Veer Chakra(PVC)- India's  highest Gallantry award given for the highest degree of valor or self-sacrifice in the presence of the enemy. It is the ultimate degree of respect that India would offer to its Armed forces for the Supreme Sacrifice displayed to protect its Sovereignty and Integrity. The reason I chose to write on this topic is that I read a book by the title " The Brave- Param Veer Chakra Stories " by Rachna Bisht Rawat.  which inspired me to write on this topic.

THE PARAM VEER CHAKRA
Starting from 1947 Indo- Pak war to the recent kargil War in 1999, 21 brave soldiers have received this award so far for displaying the highest tradition of Indian Armed Forces and with disregard to their own personal safety performed acts of valor at the times of crisis that not only saved fellow comrades, but also inspired them to perform their duties in the similar fashion.

In a way to pay my respects to these bravest of brave souls , I take pride in listing each and every  recipient of  PVC and I can only say that their acts of valor shall never be forgotten and India will forever be indebted for them.

I even got an opportunity to pay my tributes to the brave soldiers at a War memorial which I feel lucky till date, where I saw a slogan which gives me goosebumps whenever it cross my mind and it says

"When you go Home
Tell them of us
For their Tommorrow
We gave our Today."

Truly keeping their word , these soldiers raised to the occasion, whenever the situation demanded through their acts of  Valor and Love for the nation.

And finally, just a glimpse of heroic acts put on by these brave soldiers. This video is about Captain Vikram Batra, whose acts of bravery lead us to win Pt. 4875 which is crucial for capturing Tiger Hill, a strategic point  during the Kargil Conflict. Just watch this video and get inspired by his Love for this Nation.Caption Vikram Batra was presented with PVC posthumously for his valor.

I salute these brave soldiers and may Peace be upon on their souls. JAI HIND !!!

A Memorable Birthday -2014

(For me, My birthday has always been nothing more than any normal day with only exception of being wished by people closest to me. But this year is a very special one for me. It is by-far the best one I had celebrated in my life. Though, memorable moments like this , I always prefer to keep it to myself and dont like to boast myself by sharing , but I intend to share this so as to thank everyone for making my birthday, a memorable occasion to remember for years to come .)

Let me start with the gift I received from my dearest friend karthik. Its a simple yellow coloured hollow bottle with a write-up on it. And the interesting part of it is that it comes with attachment for bulb which , when connected enables you to  see the engraving on the bottle.

I'll reproduce the entire write-up here . .

"Dear Vamsi
I donno How to Start !
Firstly many Many happy returns of the day.
You are an extraordinary Human Being i have ever met.
You are the person in whom I can confide ,
 without any slightest of hesitation.
You were the person who stood by me even in my worst times and
I cannot quantify and also repay this support in my lifetime.
You are such a dearest friend and cool chap ,
to hangout with at given point of time.
I don't know when did i developed this strong bond,
but you are the first one I remember,
whenever I need someone to be there for me.
And yeah not to forget the moments where I’m not there for you,
and moments where I avoided you and made you feel bad,
 I apologize for those moments.
I wish you the all the success in whatever you do and take up.
Finally I would like to say “ I love you mama" ;) :)
And once again Hrudhaya purvaka puttina roju
 Subhkankshalu

 Yours
 Karthik."

I was dumbstruck ,when I read the entire write-up. I never expected this from anyone and never expected that someone has such strong bondage with me. Its a wonderful feeling to know and I always wanted to built such strong bondage of friendship even if its with very few people around.

So, I take this opportunity to thank my friend for a wonderful gift and wishes, which  I shall remember throughout my life.I also wish him a wonderful life ahead. I know he racing ahead to become one of the best Personality Development Trainers in India. I hope to see this as soon as possible. All the best ra karthik.

Coming to office , I was quite surprised to see that my colleagues have planned a small birthday party for me. Infact, I was quite happy and surprised that my entire division including my boss have come to wish me.

I would like to thank all of them and in special Mr. Saravanan , my TL for organizing and making my birthday a memorable one for me.

And of course not to mention the gifts I have received from my dearest friends  and colleagues. I thank them from bottom of my heart for taking out time to present me these wonderful and memorable gifts.

Last but not the least, the wonderful wishes and blessings from my dearest and close friends which includes friends from school, engineering and my relatives.

In short, I had a great day after a very very long time and for which I'll conclude by saying this.

"I wish and pray to God that my friends and colleagues be blessed in this similar fashion on their respective birthdays and make sure that it continues through out their lives, making them prosperous and happy leading a peaceful life."

World Blood Donation day

( Every year June 14th is celebrated as World Blood donation Day . In this regard , I want to share few things )

It happened in 2001, as I was returning home from my college, I couldn't barely walk and every small step forward required me to breathe-in a huge amount of air through my nose as well as through my mouth. This reached to a point where, my lungs were desperately pumping -in for oxygen , but it wasn’t effectively. I became very weak and my family immediately took me to our family doctor , who recommended me few blood tests. The outcome of the test reports shocked me as well as my family.  It declared that I was suffering from Anemia.

Anemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells which provide oxygen to body tissues. And this condition is reflected by element in the blood i.e., haemoglobin whose percentage in an average healthy individual will be in the range of 12-14 units, while mine was found to be  very close to 5 units only and still less units would have caused severe damage to my main body organs. But I was lucky enough that the root problem was found out a bit earlier itself, which avoided unnecessary complications in the future.

I was immediately hospitalized and doctors decided that I was to be administered with THREE units of blood immediately. My dad offered to give his blood, but doctors rejected it. Finally , the hospital agency was able to locate my blood group i.e, B+ in a blood bank donated by some unknown persons and all the necessarily arrangements were made to bring the blood to our hospital. Finally, after one agonizing day spent in the hospital, i was administered with THREE units of blood continuously, which in total comes very close to 1000 ml. ( Each blood unit of consists of 330 ml of blood).

Few weeks later, after full recovery when I was told about these numbers, I was shocked. I couldn’t believe that out of FIVE litres of blood that a normal human body houses in it, ONE litre of blood in me is donated by some unknown strangers.  I was deeply moved by it and don't know what to do at that time. And I never got the opportunity to thank those strangers too ,which atleast I need to do now.

My dear blood donors , I just want to thank you from my bottom of my heart
and will always pray for you and your family  well-being.
I hope God is always by your side to take care of your needs.
I owe you my life .Your compassion is a great source of inspiration for me.
I’ll never forget you,
Thank you and God Bless you

Dear friends, I‘m living example of how someone’s compassion can save a life and change him completely. So ,be compassionate to a fellow human being and do whatever you can within your power to bring a smile to a fellow human being near-by you.

As a healthy human being , you can donate for every six months. Blood cannot be manufactured artificially but it needs to be donated to needy. Your blood can save many lives. Think about it. I’ll end the post with the golden words by Narayanan krishnan, founder of Akshaya Trust that  inspires  me a lot.

“Start Giving and see the Joy of Giving”
