My 100th post !!!

I'm happy to share  this 100th post on this blog. Its been a remarkable journey so far which started in Feb, 2010. It took me close to 7 years to reach my 100th post. I feel proud and very happy to achieve this. I never restricted myself in expressing anything I wish to. I posted on various subjects I felt connected to. At first , I tried to advertise my blog on various social media platforms, asking for their views on my posts. But later on at some point of time, I realized this isn't me. I never craved for any attention or recognition, infact I always avoided it any cost. So  I left the advertising part and just kept this blog to myself. Of course, I'm not a good writer to put forth the various emotion into words. I accept this fact. But I still want to write as it gives me the joy which is what I'm looking for.

Although, I gained very few followers and that too most of them are friends like Sai Charan who always motivated me and a 1000 times better writer than me who can subtly give a shape to the various emotions that he has been through in his life through words.I just love the way he does that. I thank him especially for always coming back to my blog and share few words on my posts for all these years.

Initially, I thought I should restrict this blog to just the expressing my mind and nothing else. But as time went on, I felt I can share more than just writing. So I started to post my guitar videos, things I did etc. Whenever I cant write , I post one of my guitar videos as a compensation ;). My guitar skills are still in budding stage, yet  I cant stop myself from posting them here. So I hope you don't mind my mistakes, while I still learn to master this beautiful art.

From now on, I will try to post  every week as I wanted to utilize the my time efficiently during the weekends. And moreover , I wanted keep myself very busy for next few months as life has been a roller coaster ride for me in the past few months and hopefully posting here gives my mind the space it requires to settle down.

Finally I thank everyone who supported in this journey so far. God Bless you :)

let the journey continue...

Cheers
Vamsi.

The Most Astounding Fact about the Universe

I always had a fascination towards understanding the very origins of the universe and humans as well. I took an intense study in this regard a very long time ago which can explain in scientific manner about our past. It was a remarkable journey of discovering the truth which took me six months and I will always cherish it throughout my life. Neil deGrasse, a renowned Astrophysicist beautifully summarizes the most astounding fact about the universe when asked by a journalist. I just love his answer and flow of the music.

I think this video gives an opportunity to reflect on ourselves the fact that we all are inter-connected with no tags of religion, caste, race etc that are dividing us and driving us to our own ultimate destruction. I hope we could live in a world free of hatred towards fellow beings.

Because remember the fact that my atoms came from those stars,
And so does yours..

Cheers and Peace

Old clothes for the needy

Last year , at around this time I was able to collect a large number of old and unused clothes from my family, colleagues, friends and colony friends and give it to an  NGO called GOONJ which in turns gives them to the needy. The concept of GOONJ was unique. As far as I understood, it just doesn't give this clothes straight away. The team of GOONJ gathers the volunteers of a village who are willing to work for its upliftment through their programs and after fulfillment of these programs, these old clothes which are refurbished by GOONJ team along with some other things is handed over to the people of that village. Its a win-win situation and a successfully working model through which they have executed various programs across India.

This year continuing the same trend, I happen to request in the month of September  all my friends, colleagues, relatives and colony friends to give away their old clothes. All I got it is what you see in the picture. An overwhelming response which I did not expected frankly.

Eight gunny bags worth of old clothes has been successfully collected so far. And I would like to thank all my friends, family, relatives and colony friends for their quick response and good heart to help the needy. God Bless you all.

I decided to do this every year in this period as the winter dominates India and people without clothes will suffer its wrath. It is said that death through cold is second highest in India and hopefully I get to collect more gunny bags every year and give it to the needy.

I'm planning to visit the GOONJ office next Saturday hopefully to give these items to them. I will post an update accordingly.

Anybody interested to know more about the activities of GOONJ can visit their website. http://goonj.org/ .

Hopefully it inspires you to do something as well.

Update - 17/12/2016

Finally I got the time to hand over the clothes to the Goonj office , Hyderabad. Mr. Parithosh explained me the various initiatives by the Goonj and gave a brief info on how Goonj works. I was very much impressed and promised him that I would come back with something more for the needy.

I got a receipt too for the clothes I gave them. Hopefully, the clothes are put to good use for the needy requirements.

Cheers to Goonj

Breakfast for visitors ;)

My mom has the habit of keeping food and water outside our house for birds and cats. Some birds visit our house for this food and water quite regularly and my mom keeps me telling that you should record this activity. Lucky enough, today we happen to see and record a video of a sparrow eating the biscuit and in the near by a squirrel having his share of food , while a pigeon is waiting for its turn to fulfill its tummy ;).

The squirrel is in the extreme right corner of this short video , you should watch very carefully to have a glimpse of it and for the pigeon it comes at the end of the video. Unfortunately I couldn't take the video of it having food. Birds are always on high alert, so this is all I could capture in this short video.

Enlarge this video to full screen to have a better look.

My book collection !!!

I love reading books a lot. Books have always presented a different perspective of the world around. Im sure I would love to collect and read them till my death;). I just felt like sharing my book collection here and not the wisdom I gained from them;). I think i'll dedicate another post in this regard on this blog in the near future. This is however just a glimpse of my never ending book collection ;). Hope you guys like it.

Do you have similar collection as  well? . If yes, I would love to read them as well. So feel  free to share any of your favourite books with me in the comment section below.

You are Selected !!!

I'm very happy and proud to say that my friend Karthik has written a comprehensive book on campus placement for students. Bringing out the present day requirements of the leading Industries looking for a job seeker and the strategies to be adopted by the student to meet this requirements, the book is aptly titled " You are selected" in which he addresses the present methodology of placements. With over a decade of experience in training students across the country, his lucid presentation on this topic makes the student understand the strategy required, adopt it and succeed in campus placements.

After reading this book, I found the key points, do's and don'ts and his in-depth knowledge on this subject is commendable. I would definitely recommend this book for students who, after reading   this ,would get an overview of their strength and weakness and what needs to be done to improve upon.

You did great job karthik, Im looking forward for many more such things in the future as well.

Dinner Plates !!!

I decided to help out my team with a small gift that I felt would enhance the working environment in our team. I bought dinner plates( 27 nos.) for my entire team as I noticed that they don't have proper plates for having breakfast and lunch as well. Their meager income doesn't allow them to think of such things. Anyway I thought they deserve these and perhaps be a moral booster for them to work more effectively for meeting our planned objectives.
