A home for my Aunt !!!

(There are certain things in your life that no matter wherever you are and doing whatsoever, just a gentle  remainder of these things brings a great amount of Joy and satisfaction to your heart. I'm going to share one such thing with you.)

To start with , basically our family is  middle class and it was my dad who worked real hard throughout his life to give us a better life . I'm very much indebted to him and no words can convey what he must have gone through to give us this life. I owe my life to him. I learned many things from him just by watching him in action. I'm what I'm today  because of him.  He is my hero and no-one can ever replace his position.

Coming to my family relatives, some of them settled very well and  some are not. One such relative who according to me isn't lucky enough is my aunt. I often used to meet her at any of our relative marriage functions. My mom told me about her life which moved me a lot. Her condition was pathetic. She lost her husband long time ago and she lives in a small shed with her son  aged 40 years and who is mentally disturbed. Her only source of income is from a hostel where she works. With just meager income and a son to take care without a proper shelter, I felt God was not fair towards her.

One day , she came to our home and finally got the courage to ask us for help as my mom is very close to her. My mom in turn told me the above story and asked me to help her construct a home for her.

I straight away said yes and promised my aunt that I would help her out. Within a week , I arranged the required amount(Rs.50k)  to construct one single room along with some items to purchase for her home. Within a month , the room was made ready with the help of my aunt friends back in her village.

She felt very happy to get herself a new home and is now living a better life than ever. Seeing this, my heart just filled with joy and a sense of satisfaction that I would never forget and will remain throughout my life.

Below are the pictures of the my aunt's Home.

Though, this has happened a long time ago in 2012, I just felt like sharing something that is a great memorable moment for me in which I felt the joy of giving to others.

Barrister Parvathisham

This is the book , I was longing to read ever since I have completed my schooling way back in 2001.And now I finally found the copy of this wonderful book. I wanted to make sure to read this book before I die. So after waiting for literally 14 years , I was able to get a copy of this book.

This hilarious Telugu Novel written in 1924 by "Mokkapati Narasimhasastri" , a renowed writer in Telugu Language. Though only a small portion of this book was made as  our school syllabus, but while reading this novel, it always ensured that my smile never faded away from my face. This novel arouse a tremendous interest for Telugu novels within me.

This book is all about the humorous adventures of "Parvathisham" a naive and traditional person from backward village in Andhra Pradesh, who sees Barrister course in England as only way to solve all his problems. ( Barristers are someone who specialize in courtroom advocacy, drafting legal pleadings, and giving expert legal opinions.) . The book is all about his struggles to reach England and mingle with English culture while pursuing his course with no background knowledge of English language and their customs as well .

Though , I haven't started reading this book, but I'm quite happy and excited that one task I set out for myself before I die , will be done within a month.

Musical Weekend

Hi :) First of all Belated Happy new year wishes to you all. I'm sure you all might have already working with passion to make this year much more better and memorable time of your life.I wish you all the best in this regard and hope u guys achieve all your goals you have set out for yourselves.   Finally I got something on my mind to share with you. This is my first post of the year 2015. Hope you guys like it.

The First week of this year turned out to be Musical one as I had the opportunity to attend Two of the best musical concerts on fusion music.

1. Panchtatva - at Shilpakalavedika , Hyderabad.- on Jan 3rd

2. Strings that sing - at RavindraBharathi, Hyderabad.- on Jan 4th.

And it was mind blowing experience for me as it took me to an entire different world altogether where it was simply joy to live on.

1. Panchtatva

Panchtatva- meaning the five element of universe that makes life i.e., Air, Water , Fire , Land and Sky. This concert was organized by Art And Artist Company. The concept of the concert was very beautiful. It was like celebrating Each element with a special tune or Raaga dedicated to it and performed by Maestro. The concert has big names attached to it including Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia , the renowned Indian classical flautist  to name a few .I was just damn lucky to see the variety of instruments involved like Tabla, Guitar , Drums , Kanjira , Flute , Harmonium and Mrudhangam was just a feast to my ears.  The highlight of the concert was not only the music but also the poetry dedicated to each element along with stunning background visuals related to each element. See the pictures below and enjoy.

Stunning background Visuals Representing each element. Here the element is land

All five elements together and there is LIFE

Laurels to the Entire Panchtatva team and Standing Ovation to the Pandits and Mastreo

2. Strings that sing

"String that sing" concert is organised by Jadhavpur University Alumni Association - Hyderabad chapter. which was performed by Rahul Sharma , who is son of  renowed Santoor Pandit Shiva Sharma. Santoor was just so soothing to my heart and very pleasant to hear. On Tabla was Subhankar Benarjee who was mesmerizing us with his skills on Tabla. What a show indeed , truly a musical feast to remember.

Rahul Sharma( Santoor)  along with Subhankar Benarjee( Tabla)  Performing Raagas.

Here is a small clipping of the concert for your joy .

Music is something which is always very close to my heart and the experience it leaves on me is something that I always long for and cherish it throughout my life.

All in all , these two concerts have just sown the seeds of interest in me towards classical music. It was great weekend and a great start to this New year. I hope to attend many more concerts in this year and just by listening to them transcend to a different world altogether where there is just pure joy and nothingelse.

Anyways Stay happy and Keep Smiling
